Understanding the difference between deleting your Flipsnack account and canceling auto-renewal.

This article explains the difference between deleting your Flipsnack account (permanent removal of data) and canceling auto-renewal (stopping future payments while keeping access for a grace period and 12 months of data retention).

When managing your Flipsnack account, you may need to decide between deleting your account or canceling auto-renewal. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand both options and make the right choice:

Deleting your account

  • Permanent action: All your flipbooks, projects, and data will be immediately and permanently erased from Flipsnack’s system.
  • Payment cancellation: Any active subscriptions will be canceled, and no further charges will occur.
  • Irreversible: Once deleted, your account and content cannot be recovered.

Choose this if you’re completely done with Flipsnack and want all data permanently removed.

Canceling auto-renewal

  • Continue access until the billing period ends: Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • 21-day grace period: After your billing period ends, you can still access and edit your flipbooks for 21 days, but no new charges will apply.
  • 12-month data retention: Your account will close after the grace period, but your projects and flipbooks will be stored for 12 months, allowing time to retrieve or move them.
  • Reactivation option: Renew your subscription within 12 months to fully restore your account and all content.

This is ideal if you want to stop future payments but still need time to decide whether to continue with Flipsnack or retrieve your data.
