Overview
You upload an image to the Flipsnack Design Studio through the Uploads tab in the left-side panel, either by clicking Upload media or dragging files into the panel. Flipsnack accepts JPG, PNG, GIF and MP4 formats, with images and audio capped at 20 MB and video at 1 GB. Once uploaded, an image can also be animated using Living visuals (AI Animate).
File size limits
Uploads have storage limits depending on the file type:
- Images and audio files: up to 20 MB
- SVG files: up to 1 MB
- Video files: up to 1 GB

To upload an image in Flipsnack's Design Studio, you first need to create a new design or open an existing flipbook. Once inside Design Studio, you can add images through the Uploads tab located in the left-side panel.
Note: Flipsnack supports the following file formats for uploads: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4
Turn uploaded images into motion with AI
Once your image is uploaded, you can enhance it using Living visuals (AI Animate).
Select the image on your page and look for the AI Animate icon in the top toolbar. This feature allows you to transform a static image into subtle motion directly inside your flipbook.
The generated result behaves like a video widget, meaning you can customize playback settings just like you would with a standard video element.
