Why a flipbook shows a blank cover on your bookshelf
Add artwork to the cover page and republish so the bookshelf picks up the new thumbnail
A blank cover on your bookshelf is almost always the same thing: the page you set as the cover has no image behind it. Put your cover artwork on that page, then republish the flipbook so the bookshelf picks up the new thumbnail.
Add a custom cover
- Create a blank page: add a new blank page and set it as the cover of your flipbook.
- Convert the cover to JPG or PNG: if your cover only exists as a PDF, convert it first. This converter does it, and so does any other you prefer.
- Upload the cover image: go to the Uploads section in Flipsnack and upload the file.
- Replace the blank page: place the uploaded image on the blank cover page.
- Republish your flipbook: save your changes and republish, so the bookshelf regenerates the thumbnail.
Troubleshooting
- The cover is still blank after republishing: reopen the flipbook and check the uploaded image is placed on the page set as the cover, not on the page after it.
- The bookshelf is right but a shared link still shows the old cover: refresh the link preview thumbnail. Generate or Refresh Flipsnack Link Preview Thumbnails has the steps.
