Every Flipsnack account starts on the Free plan. It costs nothing, needs no credit card, and doesn't expire; you can upgrade only when you need more.

The Free plan covers the basics well: it's ideal for simple, public publishing.

What you can do for free:

  • Upload PDFs (up to 100 MB)
  • Create up to 5 flipbooks (15 pages each)
  • Embed flipbooks on your site or blog ( with Flipsnack branding)
  • Share flipbooks publicly via link
  • Use a modern flipbook reader (single-page, RTL support)
  • Auto-detect links from PDFs
  • Save flipbooks as templates
  • Save customization settings for future flipbooks
  • Editable, high-quality vector text
  • Download as PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF or MP4 (the Flipsnack watermark is applied)

What you cannot do for free:

  • Private or password-protected sharing
  • Analytics or performance tracking
  • Monthly AI credits, catalog automation, or integrations
  • Workspace management and branding features

Additional tips / FAQs

  • Can I upgrade at any time? Yes, upgrade whenever you're ready, straight from your dashboard. Your existing flipbooks carry over, and premium features unlock right away. See pricing plans explained to compare what each plan includes.
  • What happens if I hit the 5-flipbook limit? You can unpublish or delete an existing flipbook to free up a slot, or upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.
  • Will my flipbooks be deleted if I downgrade to Free? No. You keep every flipbook in your account. Only 5 stay published, and anything that relied on a paid feature branding, a custom domain, private sharing becomes read-only rather than being removed. It all works again as soon as you're back on a plan that includes it.
