Flipsnack's Data Processing Addendum defines the controller, processor, and sub-processor roles for how personal data is handled under the agreement between Flipsnack and its customers. It commits Flipsnack to processing data under the customer's lawful instructions, notifying customers of a security incident within 24 hours, and letting customers audit compliance annually.
Roles and definitions
- Controller: Determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
- Processor: Processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
- Sub-processor: Any entity engaged by Flipsnack to process personal data.
Processing of personal data
Flipsnack processes personal data based on the customer's lawful instructions and ensures compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws.
Security and data breach
Flipsnack implements technical and organizational measures to protect personal data and notifies customers of any security incidents within 24 hours.
Data transfer and sub-processors
Flipsnack ensures sub-processors meet data protection standards and provides a list of sub-processors. Customers can object to new sub-processors.
Audit rights
Customers have the right to audit Flipsnack's compliance with the DPA annually.
