Overview
Flipsnack connects to HubSpot directly from your account settings. Once the two accounts are linked, you can turn on HubSpot tracking for any flipbook, and HubSpot starts collecting visitor activity from that flipbook alongside the rest of your marketing data.
For sales and marketing teams, this closes the gap between “we sent the catalog” and “we know who read it.” Reader activity from your flipbooks lands in the same HubSpot reporting you already use for campaigns and landing pages, so engagement with a product catalog or sales deck can feed the same workflows, lists, and attribution reports as any other content.
The connection is made once, at account level. Tracking is then enabled per flipbook, so you decide which flipbooks report into HubSpot.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Flipsnack plan: Enterprise
- HubSpot: Marketing Hub (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise)
- A HubSpot account you have permission to connect apps to
To check whether the integration is available on your plan, contact the Flipsnack team.
Use cases
- Sales materials — see which prospects opened a sales deck and how far they read, then trigger HubSpot follow-up from that activity.
- Product catalogs — measure catalog traffic and returning visitors in HubSpot next to the campaigns that drove them.
- Marketing — attribute flipbook engagement to the campaign, source, or email that sent the reader there.
Connect your HubSpot account
- In the App header, go to Settings.
- Open the Integrations tab.
- On the HubSpot card, click Connect.

- In the HubSpot dialog, click Connect HubSpot account.

- You’re redirected to HubSpot. Under Choose an account, select the HubSpot account you want to connect, then click Choose Account.

- Review what Flipsnack can access, tick the third-party application agreement checkbox, then click Connect app.

- You’re returned to Flipsnack. The HubSpot card in Integrations now shows a green checkmark, confirming the account is connected.

Note: Connecting the account does not start tracking on its own. Tracking is enabled per flipbook — see the next section.
Turn on HubSpot tracking for a flipbook
Before you start, copy your HubSpot portal ID. It’s shown under the account name on HubSpot’s Choose an account screen — right-click the number and choose Copy.

Then, in Flipsnack:
- Go to Content and open the flipbook you want to track.

- On the flipbook page, click Customize preview.

- In the Add-ons tab, click HubSpot tracking.
![]()
- Turn on Track your flipbook using HubSpot.
![]()
- Paste your portal ID into the HubSpot tracking code field.
![]()
- Click Continue, then Update to republish the flipbook with tracking enabled.

Caution: Changes only take effect once the flipbook is republished. If you enable tracking but skip the Update step, no data reaches HubSpot.
Disconnect your HubSpot account
- Go to Settings > Integrations and click the HubSpot card.
- Under Account connection, click Disconnect.

Warning: Disconnecting the account stops HubSpot tracking on every flipbook that uses it, not just one.
Additional tips
- The tracking toggle is per flipbook, so you can keep internal or draft flipbooks out of your HubSpot reporting while tracking public ones.
- Tracking applies to the flipbook itself. It does not cover your Flipsnack profile page — for that, see the Google Tag Manager method linked under Next steps.
Troubleshooting
What to do if no data appears in HubSpot: allow a short delay after publishing before data shows up. Then confirm the flipbook was republished with Update, that Track your flipbook using HubSpot is on, and that the HubSpot tracking code field holds the portal ID of the account you connected.
What to do if the HubSpot card still shows Connect: the authorization flow was not completed. Reopen the card and run through Connect HubSpot account again, making sure you tick the agreement checkbox before clicking Connect app.
What to do if you connected the wrong HubSpot account: disconnect from the HubSpot card, then connect again and pick the correct account on HubSpot’s Choose an account screen.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting HubSpot track all my flipbooks automatically?
No. The account connection is the prerequisite; tracking is switched on per flipbook.
Can I track my Flipsnack profile page this way?
No. Profile page tracking is only possible through Google Tag Manager — see Next steps.
Where do I find my portal ID?
It’s the account number shown under the account name on HubSpot’s Choose an account screen.
Can I use a different HubSpot account per flipbook?
The HubSpot tracking code field is set per flipbook, but the account connection is account-wide. For anything beyond a single connected account, contact the Flipsnack team.
