How to track team performance in Flipsnack

Learn how workspace admins can track teammate activity, export CSV reports, and schedule automated reports.

Overview

Usage report give workspace admins a centralized way to track teammate activity in Flipsnack. Instead of relying on manual exports or custom CSVs, you can now download activity report instantly or schedule automated emails to receive them regularly.

These report are especially useful for large organizations that need data on license usage, and productivity across multiple workspaces.

Plan: Available on Enterprise and Organization plans
Access level: Owners, admins and workspace managers
Report availability: CSV downloads (on-demand) and monthly scheduling (email delivery)

  • License optimization: Identify inactive teammates to better allocate licenses.

  • Performance tracking: Team leads monitor created and published documents per teammate.

  • Procurement & ROI: IT or procurement departments measure license usage for budget validation.

Accessing Team Usage Report

  1. Go to Settings in your Flipsnack workspace.

  2. Select Usage report.

  3. There you'll find teammate activity data for the selected time period.

Exporting report as CSV

  1. From the Usage report page, select your desired time period.

  2. (For Organizations) Apply a workspace filter if needed.

  3. Click Download CSV to download the report.

This report can be generated anytime, but it is ad-hoc only (not scheduled).

Scheduling automated reports

  1. On the Usage report page, look for the Schedule monthly report.

  2. Enable scheduling and add the recipient email address. The recipient can be stakeholders that are outside your workspace.

  3. Reports have monthly frequency (default for Phase 1) and emails will be sent on the 1st of the month.

  4. Save your settings. The CSV report will now be delivered automatically to the selected email addresses.

Understanding report fields

Each report contains a predefined set of fields:

  • Full name & email: Identify the teammate.

  • Role: Agent, Contributor, Editor, Admin, Owner (shows level of access).

  • Workspace: For organizations, indicates which workspace the teammate belongs to.

  • Last activity date: Shows the last time the user performed an action (not login date).

  • Created: Number of flipbooks or bookshelves the teammate created during the selected period.

  • Published: Number of flipbooks or bookshelves the teammate published during the selected period.

  • Date added: When the user was added to the workspace.

  • SSO login: Indicates if login is through Single Sign-On.

  • Accepted invitation: Whether the user accepted the workspace invitation.

Note: Numbers in Usage reports may differ from flipbook reports because deleted flipbooks are still counted as created/published actions in usage reports.

Additional tips / FAQs

  • Can I customize the columns? Not at this stage. The reports use a predefined structure.

  • Can I schedule quarterly reports? Not yet. Currently, only monthly frequency is supported.

  • Who receives scheduled reports? Any email recipient specified in the scheduling section, even stakeholders that are outside the workspace.

  • Why are my reports not being delivered? Confirm scheduling is enabled and check spam/junk folders.
