Who can create and use templates?

User Roles & Template Permissions

Flipsnack allows different levels of access to templates based on user roles. Here’s how permissions are structured:

  • Owners, Admins, and Editors: Have full access to all templates. They can view, edit, and manage all templates across the organization.
  • Agents and Contributors: Can see all templates that were not created by them, but they can only use them without making any modifications.

Managing template permissions

For organizations that need stricter control over who can create and edit templates, permissions can be adjusted in the Permissions settings. Here, admins can:

  • Restrict access to specific templates based on user roles.
  • Control who can create new templates or edit existing ones.
  • Ensure consistency in design and branding by limiting editing rights.

This setup ensures that businesses can efficiently manage template usage while maintaining control over content creation and editing.

How to delete and restore a template from a folder:

  • From Templates, choose the folder you want to delete
  • Go to the three dots in the right side of the folder and click Move to trash
  • In order to restore it: go to the Trash section in the lower side of the dashboard
